JJ Lin dropped his latest album in December 2015. It was recorded and mixed using binaural audio, and is designed to be listened to on headphones. The entire album is a collaboration and cross promotion with Beats, so we shot a film where JJ Lin got to explain his mindset he had when creating his album.
R/GA Shanghai Content Studio filmed and edited this short feature of JJ Lin in LA that was premiered at the Beijing Sound Symposium. We followed up with an online recap video of the Beijing Sound Symposium. We re-released the video before the Golden Melody Awards on June 25th, since the album was nominated for 4 awards. He ended up winning two GMAs for Best Male Singer & Best Composer.
