When Grand Central Terminal opened in 1913, sign painters used a distinctively American Beaux-Arts lettering style for notices and directions. During the renovation, I was commissioned to design a typeface to keep new signage in harmony with the existing lettering and also comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act.  Designed 1998​​​​​​​
