As a co-founder, I designed and created the initial go-to-market strategy and product roadmap for the software and hardware development for Eko in 2012. Eko was named Time Magazine’s top 25 inventions in 2015.

- Managed a global team of engineers, QAs, and designers to build initial digital signal processing (DSP) software and products
- Led the software development cycle for HIPPA compliant software
- Designed and implemented ekodevices.com to sell hardware globally
- Led product initiatives and customer engagement sprints
- Raised funding for initial software and hardware product offerings and participated in founder.org

The product is a smartphone application that records, visualizes, and analyzes patient's heart sounds combined with a stethoscope attachment that transmits the heartbeat from any acoustic stethoscope to the doctor's smartphone.

The hardware component integrates with the acoustic stethoscope and relays this information through the audio jack into the smartphone.  The microphones within the hardware amplify the heart sounds from the stethoscope and send them to the smartphone.

The software combines current sound and machine learning algorithms to visualize and anaylze a patient's hearbeat by comparing the incoming heart sound to our database of pre-recorded heart conditions.  The mobile application then displays possible diagnoses to the medical professional to make the final decision.
The user friendly graphic interface allows healthcare professionals to easily record and save patient information to electronic medical records, making it easier to track the patient progess and help manage  chronic conditions.

Additionally, our hardware device allows doctors, nurses, and physician assitants to use their current stethoscopes while integrating with our analytic software.
