This project is a campaign for Origins to use for Earth Day/Month 2013. During this month, recycling, reducing waste, and conserving energy, water, etc. is higly celebrated. Throughout Earth Month, Origins promotes these ideas as well. On Earth Day, Origins runs an advertisement for a promotion they do every year. This promotion is to bring in any used cosmetic bottle and you recieve a new full sized product in return. They call this "Return to Origins." The recycling program is available all year but this reward is only given on Earth Day.
The first aspect of the campaign was to create an Earth Month Visual Identity for Origins.
The second aspect of the campaign was to create the packaging for the products that would be given to customers as a part of the "Return to Origins" promotion. This packaging would be used for Earth Day only.
I then proceeded to apply this symbol to the chosen products: "A Perfect World" and "Checks and Balances".
The next aspect of the campain was to design the advertisement for the "Return to Origins" promotion.
In addition to their Earth Day promotion, Origins launched a program entitled Plant-A-Tree. This promgram is intended to aid reforestation projects globally. In partnership with the American Forests Global Releaf and other local organizations, Origins helps plant thousands of trees around the world to create new forests, as well as refurbish existing forests in need.
The last aspect of the campaign was to create an interactive display for Origins to promote Plant-A-Tree.
Essentially for each "A Perfect World" tinted moisturizer the costumer purchased, a tree would be planted; therefore each person would be providing the benefits of this tree.
I approached the display with the idea that I wanted each customer to be able to see one way they would be helping the enviornment by supporting Origins Plant-A-Tree.
