Malcolm Gladwell famously wrote that one only becomes an expert at something by putting in 10 000 hours. We created a video for Accenture about one of their bursary students - 19 year-old Thembeka George.

Thembeka's story is a moving story of struggle and determination - of travelling for 3 hours a day in order to improve her knowledge, her qualifications, and her life. It is also a story of being driven to do something that will make a meaningful difference to the many young people whose spirits are crushed by the knowledge that they are unlikely to ever find employment. Thembeka knows that there is no magic bullet to success and that she still has a long way to go.
