For my final logo, I designed a titan arum flower with the MONAS monument replacing the stem in the middle to symbolize Jakarta, Indonesia. The MONAS monument was based on the bloom of the flower and the principle of Lingga and Yoni which is also what the flower symbolizes as well so I decided to combine the two. The colors are based on the titan arum flower in bloom when its' colors are the brightest. The font I chose for Jakarta is hand-made, and resembles the tapered ends, and organic shapes in the outlined flower. The font I chose for the year is Adobe Caslon Pro because the sharp serifs and round forms complement the hand-made font, but also contrast with its’ thinner lines.
