I designed this book on the fashion in France between the seventeenth and eighteenth century. The layout is minimal in order to contrast the elaborate and ornate designs of the clothes. Two of the spreads have die-cuts that reveal swatches of fabric used in the Baroque period that can be felt, as well as a design of a popular dress using materials that resemble the dress shown in that image. The book is bound with french folds and a stab bind, and the cover is a soft cover tied with a ribbon.
