The Challenge
There is a nationwide shortage of dermatologists that, when combined with a patient's own commitments and travel, has increased typical wait times to 2 to 6 months. Waiting this long isn't always an option and patients need a more efficient way of having skin conditions diagnosed.
The Solution

ISBX engaged in design, technology architecture, and development of DirectDerm, a cutting-edge telemedicine platform designed to deliver dermatology services exclusively through mobile and web technology.
Patients and referring physicians can access DirectDerm at any time to receive consult reports, including diagnosis and treatment plans. Requirements for strict HIPAA adherence were followed in addition to 2-factor security authentication and ID proofing by Symantec.
The Result

Dermatologists using DirectDerm respond to patients in less than 48 hours and often within 24, significantly faster than visiting a physician in person.
This ultimately lowers costs for patients, employers and health plans while saving time for all parties involved.
