TENKO SANS
I started this font project by searching for local fonts, letters and numbers that has been used locally in Medicine Hat and Alberta from the past 70 years and less.
In order to find unique credible examples, I went to the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Center to look at the History of Medicine Hat.

Getting inspiration from letters that I saw at the Esplanade, I decided to go with Sans Serif font, just because it looks more modern to me. In addition, I wanted my type to have variety of styles, so I decided to create few layers for my type.
Tenko Sans created for the sake of design and art, I wanted my font to be playful and open for the user. I wanted the user to have fun with it and use it for any type of work they would like.
