The Ojai Music Festival is an annual festival held in Ojai California. Every year, classically trained musicians gather to perform new and old works. Instrumentation is primarily vocal, string and percussion. The music ranges in favorite standards to new pieces by current composers.

For this festival, I wanted to evoke the subtle boldness that you can hear in much of the music. The music is thought provoking and beautiful, leading your mind to a place that is outside of you, in the air. The graphic elements used, such as the musical staff and the whole note (the “O”}, are also intended to imitate the notation used on the musicians’ scores.
