This is a series of both invitations and signage done through the Visual Resources department at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. The project was also designed for MIAD as the collateral for their 2011 BFA Senior Exhibition Show. The focus of this concept was to convey a more sophisticated design than done in past years as well as draw attention to the importance of the degree received by every student.

MIAD is unique in that every student on completion of their specific major receives a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. There is a variety of majors ranging throughout the Design and Fine Arts community. I wanted to focus more of the importance of graduating and receiving a degree than to focus on a happy, fun and energetic event. Although the colors do help to convey that was well, I wanted the overall design to more simplicity and elegant. The typography for the BFA letter would be printed with a varnish to continue emphasizes the importance of graduating and what each student at MIAD can identify with. The colors represent a new horizon and overall impact that would be lost if it were very colorful and graphic. The shapes also help to unify the various fields of study.
