The glasses have soon changed their simple role of correction of visual defects (eyeglasses) or personal protection from the sun (sunglasses). They became a real status symbol used to succeed, stand out and add personality due to their inherent ability to give charm and mystery. It is no coincidence then, that the major brands of fashion dedicate a lot of their energy to this area, creating collections that are becoming larger and very important: if it is true that the eyes are the windows to the soul, then the glasses are the frame able to enhance its characteristics.
The projects
Two projects I've done in collaboration with and for Equipe S.r.l.
Designing an optic center means first of all create a functional and attractive layout that includes the use of noble materials such as glass and mirrors, skillfully worked by our master glassmakers, materials which have, like lenses, refractive and reflective properties and so they are good for emphasize the products. The joint use of LED lights of last generation, which create the illusion of the glasses suspended in the light, together with an attractive design, make that the design of the store, just like the best set design, fully meet and enhances all the actors involved: the glasses, the customers and the optician.
