Faith, a quarterly magazine provided to the membership of a large Methodist church, emphasizes strong visuals and human-interest stories. The overall theme of this issues was back to school/back to church. This church is very connected to children's ministry and often sees an increase in activity at the end of summer.

I decided on a back to shool feel for the cover. I choose a strong serif font for a base and then sketched the lettering for a more authentic feel.
