Building a streetwear store from the ground up

In Summer 2014, two good friends and I opened up a menswear clothing store in Stoke-on-Trent. We built a store that we wanted in our city — bringing a different breed of brands to the shelves and consumers inspired by our mutual craving for urban culture.

Having found the perfect building, we quickly set to work on renovations and over the course of three months, converted an almost derelict space in the Cultural Quarter of the city centre into a creative retail hub.

My main role in the business was to bring and enable the creative vision of the store’s visual identity, brand list, interior design and digital presence. That tied into project management, advertising campaigns, social media management along with involvement in every other part of the retail business.
