The Media Food Drive 2018

Every year, half of Quebec’s food banks struggle to meet the demand of people in need.
 
This offensive reminds donors of the importance of giving. When people go to a community organization for help, and even the last resort can’t provide any food for their families, that’s pretty dramatic.
 
The Media Food Drive has been in existence in its current form since 2001 and has raised over $39 million and thousands of kilograms of food. Every year, as the holidays approach, this solidarity operation brings together the media from all over Quebec for a month-long solicitation that culminates in a street fundraising day. Thousands of media professionals and volunteers are joining forces to collect non-perishable food and cash donations. The media food drive helps the most disadvantaged in collaboration with dozens of local charities. This new campaign aims to raise public awareness of a disturbing reality.
