My team chose an environmental typography project that would be both visually appealing to the viewer and also environmentally friendly and beneficial. We constructed the letterforms from wood and covered them with an edible bird-safe glue and birdseed. The letterforms serve as both a bird feeder and bird house as they are hollow inside and feature bird-size entrances. Given that native birds have more difficulty finding food sources during winter in Missouri, the installation of this piece during December was timely.
