Have you ever dreamed about your personal security guard, who would protect you from annoying spam messages from telemarketers, advertisers, and mailings? We have created him! SpamHound mobile app is a popular SMS Spam Filter for iOS and Android devices. Broad functionality and attractive UI/UX design developed by Redwerk team make this application outstanding among others.

We started working on a concept after the initial app idea was shaped. Among many icon versions we designed, there were some looked like native messaging app icons, also cute characters that control your inbox, and even the icon with sword inspired by “Game of Thrones”. In result, we settled on a pit bull dog as a main character. And it was for a reason, as a dog is a symbol of protection and loyalty that SpamHound app guarantees to all its users. Also, we chose the picture of a pit bull that keeps spam message as a logo.

SpamHound is available for iOS devices, so we tried to create app design as close as possible to native operating system look. SpamHound for Android has different functionality than for iOS. It allows to send and receive messages as in a regular messenger, but also to create filtering rules for spam blocking. We’ve done a great job during the development of SpamHound. In result, we created a modern, useful spam filter that helps people all over the world get rid of unwanted messages that every day come to their inbox. SpamHound was also presented as Alpha Startup at America’s fastest growing tech conference - Collision 2018, where it gathered many positive reviews on the concept, design and of course, functionality of the app.
