The 11th KL Butoh Fest 2018 had two main programmes. One was 地藏_Earth Womb which featured Nyoba Kan’s artistic director Lee Swee Keong and Dai Matsuoka — a dancer with Butoh company Sankaijuku. The other was A Tale of Star-Crossed Lovers which was a collaborative work with the artistes from KL Shakespeare Players and two Indonesian dancers.
The brief for this programme, however, was to create something zen-like and minimalistic as the performance is billed as meditative.
