In Transit-ion: A Poetic MRT Journey

Conceptualised during the extended lockdowns of 2020, Orang Orang Drum Theatre’s public performance art series titled In Transit-ion: A Poetic MRT Journey was supposed to be a year-long monthly installation. The project kicked off on March 2021 and took a hiatus in April due to another long period of nationwide lockdown. The initiative aimed to utilise art as a form of therapy for our mental and psychological health and needs during this pandemic.
It started with the isolation state when one relied on the inner voice and musing. The audience received soundtracks and music through personal earphones during the first few instalments of the performances. It cumulated with a celebration of live percussions, singing and music for the last few presentations over October and November 2021.

They commissioned me to design a series of promotional posters for the project. The creative direction derives from our collective love for old bus ticket stubs.
