Packaging Design
An experimental design for a luxury chocolate brand. The original design featured overwhelming use of metallic paint that gave a gaudy impression that didn't effectively communicate the brands position.
This design takes a step back and creates a simpler, more elegant package for the chocolate. Instead of using a paper wrapper, the candy is now encased in a thin cardboard to create a tactile experience that suggests that the chocolate is more precious than ordinary wrappers. It's also bound shut by a strip of paper that wraps all the way around the box, creating the illusion of a present.
Lastly, the design features a simple repeated pattern of a single cocoa bean, and the two beans to form a heart. This is inspired for the endorphins that chocolate releases creating the feeling of love.
