The Duck Company UK

I used the illustrations from Denise (the in-house artist at the Duck Company) as the basis of the branding. The colours - taken from the successful pastel ranges of ducks, ponies and penguins, are muted enough to not overpower the illustrations, and in turn, the illustrations do not overpower the photos of the products. I used this with a new handwriting like font - Shadows into light - to create a friendly arty feel to the new branding and with the colours the branding adds to and enhances the ducks and other products.

I designed the new website, with lots of changes, adding the social networking buttons to the products, so they could be shared easily with friends and family, as well as adding a link to the facebook page. I have also added a gallery so that fans can send photos of their ducks and other animals to the Duck Company - adding to the sense of community, and used many photos throughout the site to illustrate the products. I re-arranged the categories for the website, so that products were easier to find - and added a wish list for registered customers. Finally I added some information pages, not just terms and conditions but also information on delivery and the products themselves. The emails have developed from purely products to a more informative news based newsletter, using Mailchimp. They both use the branding from the site and lots of phots and imagery to make them look colourful and fun, and engage the customer.
