CLEAR CHANNEL
News stand - Paris, France

Mission
The city of Paris launched a tender process for the renovation of 404 news stands, in which Clear Channel
took part.

Clear Channel commissioned Yellow Window with the design of the news stand.

Yellow Window supported Clear Channel at each stage of the consultation, including the creation of the concept design, talks with the city of Paris and the establishment of the industrial specifications for the product jointly with the manufacturer.

Result
Yellow Window wanted to make the design of the news stands coherent with all Parisian street furniture, associating the past and modernity through:
A contemporary stylistic signature taking its inspiration from the vocabulary of the industrial history of Paris in the 19th and early 20th century and its architectural details, blending moulded shapes, metal and glass.
Simple shapes, soft angles and tactile technologies conveying a feeling of easy, intuitive use.

The news stands are also designed to preserve the close human link thanks to a system of sliding folding doors making it possible to open the street frontage while protecting the vendor behind glass for greater comfort.
