The Playmaker App
This is real time point-based betting and it is directly integrated with TV, since one of the two clients was a TV-station. The emotional drivers are that you use your knowledge of the game to compete for glory and bragging rights. It was created for the Danish National Handball Team at the London 2012 Olympic Games and still active today.

Shaking the phone activates the "Clacker" - which is that thing you will see spectators at a handball match use to create noise.
The "Clackometer" is shown in the corner of the tv-screen and shows the accumulated output of everybody using the Clacker in real time. That way fans are motivated by seeing how much other fans from across the country are cheering.
