Communication Design Strategy // Save A Cup Today Campaign

One of the most powerful communication tool in communicating a message is through a poster. It allows people to express themselves and send a message through an image. They say “An image can speak a thousand words”, and that is very true. Some things can only be best expressed through an image rather than words. It is more effective, targeting the core of human’s emotions and gives a wake-up call to people especially when it comes to social issues. Recycling has always been a major issue, specifically speaking, the disposal of coffee paper cups. Many has the misconception that paper cups are recyclable when in fact it is not. The fact is, the paper cupboard is lined with plastic and thus making it hard to separate the cupboard and the plastic as only the cupboard is recyclable while the plastic is not biodegradable. This results in having the paper cups all piling up in landfill, which in turn will affect our environment. Thus, I would like to spread awareness in regards to this issue and to encourage people to bring their own cup when buying coffee. Everyone has a responsibility to protect our environment and to make the earth a better place for you and me.
