_____THE CONCEPT____________________
I was approached by the Department of Music, Theatre and Performing Arts of the University of Frankfurt, to develop a trailer for their new search engine www.performing-arts.eu. This search engine is specifically designed for academic research representing the full range of academic informational services for the performing arts.
The task was to visualize both, the digital and the analog world in which these researchers operate. Having visited some archives during pre-production, the idea of a treasure hunt quickly came to mind. Because that's what it feels like, being among all those relics in stuffed rooms and corridors -- a visual treat for us filmmakers.
