_____SYNOPSIS____________________
In the future, a network of surveillance stations encompass the earth, able to launch drones for personal protection to the earths surface. The only connection the watcher has, are his supervision monitors. When suddenly this connection breaks off, and the monitors show no more life on earth, the watcher is expecting the worst. Trapped in the isolation of his space station, he must decide whether to give in and accept his approaching demise or to find a way to return to earth.

_____THE PROCESS____________________
This film was the practical part of my diploma at the University of Art and Design HFG Offenbach back in 2013. I chose "Surveillance" as the main theme, especially the self-imposed forms of surveillance by social networks as the written part of my thesis.

_____THE SCORE____________________
The film was one of five projects that got funded by the Hessen Film and Media Academy in collaboration with the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences to get a cinematic score. So I had the pleasure to work with student composer Björn Bock on the score, as well as the students from Darmstadt who were responsible for the recording and mixing process.

_____THINGS I HAVE LEARNED____________________
There are always some important things to take away from a production. Here's what I learned:
_If you are using two cameras make sure they are either the same model or at least easy to match during color correction
_When dealing with a ton of screen graphics try having them on real displays instead of green screens. Or when they are in the background, print out the graphics and stick them on the screens.
_Try to make Animatics or moving Storyboards of scenes you are not sure of how they will play out.
_Have a character who is not a real human, in this case the drone? Have an actor/actress designated to read the characters lines of dialogue, even when you are not going to use the voice in the end.
_When shooting in a built set give the actors time to get used to their new surroundings and have them interact with it as much as possible.
_Don't try to fix everything in post ;-)
