Natural dyed dine collection #1
"Textiles have one of the largest water footprints."
Dyeing is a big problem both in terms of water use and pollution
“Anyone who can make a pot of tea can dye a skein of wool or yard of plain linen to what- ever color they want, using commonly found plants.”
So I came up with another solution here...
p.s. This is still more like an experiment in order to achieve my final goal.
Save water with
non-toxic colors
I decided to use strawberries in order to extract pinkish color ( my assumption wasn't that precise, strawberries give a lighter tone of pink)
,but they are almost rotten so I think it's better to exploit something here.
To make brown fabric, I boiled 1m of fabric with coffee powder, all together in the pan sauce.
The result is not only terrific but also gives a nice scent of the aromatic coffee beans.
