Terminal of art / Intermodal transport station
A hybride, self-generating space that engages the contents of an art gallery and a multi-functional terminal for receiving passengers into the city, located on it's very edge - the river side.
The project conducts several researches such as:
- the concept of a terminal, in both literal and philosophical meaning
- fluidity of the form and the influence of moving flows on architecture
- hybridity of the functions - overlapping activities and intensive space
- the experience of the space
- the capacity of the cross section variation to create the effect of movement inside the space
- the role of the structure - modularity, parameterization, constitution of linear flowing space

Combining the different spatial conditions, a spatial wave is being created. Alternating from one state to another, it forms a unique and continuous field with dynamic and changing characteristics containing the spaces with lower and higher intensity of activities. By avoiding the complete determination of time and space the openness is being preserved: the space field and form together are becoming an eternally changing structural system. The rhythmic variation of the form regulated by the cross section inducts the feeling of fluidity and constant movement. The experience of the geometric variation affects the aesthetical impact on the user of the space creating an impression of dynamism and constant change.
