ELAINE NORMAN is an artist, illustrator and designer who lives and works in New York City.  She has studied Fine Art at at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and pursued additional coursework at School of Visual Arts and the International Center of Photography, both in New York.

She has created mixed-media collage illustrations and design projects for a diverse group of clients, including the Transit Museum, Farrar Strauss & Giroux, CityLore, Sony Music, Dover Publications, Barron's Financial Weekly, among others.

Elaine was also a co-founder of Norman Baer Associates, a well-regarded studio that that designed and manufactured original, contemporary wallcoverings that were sold to the trade from showrooms in major cities throughout the United States. 

Her photographs and collages have also been exhibited in museums and galleries nationwide.  Selected collections include The Museum of the City of New York, the Brooklyn Public Library and Arquitectonica. 

"Apple of My Eye:A Visual Memoir of New York" is Elaine's first book and based on a recent mini-retrospective of her work at City Lore.It is available for purchase online at Blurb Bookstore:
