Personal project / 2017

In a studio like ours with only two people, one of the most crucial points is the decision making. In the absence of a third voice capable of determining the outcome in cases of disagreement, we rely on independent systems to solve our issues. That's why we started developing this series of technological gadgets.

Brosmind Tech # 1 - FlipCoin
Sometimes our discussions revolve around minor or silly issues, such as deciding which restaurant to eat at or who will answer the phone next. The FlipCoin machine offers an elegant, portable system for making decisions that only have two potential outcomes. By pressing its only button, a nice, animated coin is flipped. When it settles the coin will randomly show the face of either Juan or Alejandro. In case of failure in the electronic system, the machine has a secondary analogue system that can be accessed by breaking the glass on the back.

Brosmind Tech # 2 - Brosmind Dunk
This device offers a method for making less urgent decisions than those in need of a flipped coin. It's ideal for situations where we're discussing issues with a certain depth and where careful consideration is called for. The system consists of a two-player basketball game in which the winner not only wins the game, but the discussion. This process doesn't depend on chance and it comes with the feeling that the disagreement has been settled through a mature process.

Brosmind Tech # 3 - Family Business
This machine is the most complex of the series. It was created to help make very important decisions that can affect the existence of our studio and, in extreme cases, even our family. With stakes this high, it's no longer sufficient with the involvement of two people, a total of four are needed for this level of debating. For this type of scenario, we've developed a four-players fighting video game starring all members of our family. The system offers many possible results. If nobody agrees, the game will end when there is only one character left standing, but the outcome can differ greatly if alliances are created or betrayals committed during the fight.
