The book born as a personal experimentation on design and contents starting from a picture series taken by Marella Bessone called “Tondino” composed by six photographs of the same monument representing a rampant horse from different point of view.
Inspired by this series I started this book on the theme of horse choosing the opposite medium: the painting.

The book is divided in three sections:
- crops of paintings matched with colors to create new graphics painting;
- analysis of 18 famous painting that has horses as subject,
- picture series “Tondino” by Marella Bessone.

The three sections divide a sentence that start from the cover and finish after the series at the end of the book: “Cowboys ⁄ are ⁄ all those who ⁄ use the eyes not to look, not to see, not to watch, not to dream, but to ⁄ discover”.
