BARBELLS AND BADGES
We’re excited to share the launch of one of our latest branding projects for Maryland-based, Barbells and Badges, a rapidly growing First Responder Fitness brand.
The project was initiated after a conversation between S15 Designs Creative Director, Steven Feken, and Barbells and Badges CEO, Marc Bona. We wanted to position the brand from a small startup Instagram account to a growing fitness community and apparel brand for Law Enforcement officers who place fitness as a priority.
One team. One mission.
Barbells and Badges is a brand and a community based on Law enforcement and first responder health, fitness, and weight training.
When we came into the project, Barbells and Badges lived mostly on Instagram with a little under 10,000 followers. Already a fan favorite among LEO fitness brands, we knew going into the project that it was important to give a feeling of protection and strength with our design as well as paying homage to the classic logo.
After launching the new logo and continued hard work by their team, Barbells and Badges have grown to over 25,000 followers on Instagram and Facebook.

The new logo.
Every logo has it's potential to be iconic. We approach every project in that way when thinking about the goals of the brand for the next five or ten years.
We know there is a large potential for growth and that the logo needs to be potentially iconic, memorable and flexible so it doesn't ever have to be designed again.
