The novel, also known as The Great Gatsby, takes us into the superficially glittering world of the roaring twenties, the seductive period of jazz music, while making us believe in the american dream, the light at the end of the dock always too far to reach. The story is inspired in fragments of Fitzgerald's own life, mixed and stitched in this book.
