Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Program

Michael Snedeker, a former collegiate Division I football player, is a business consultant who holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts, based in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Trained by Brad Sugars and the team at ActionCOACH, a business coaching firm, Michael Snedeker now serves as a coach for Shellback Industries.

Shellback Industries provides management, site preparation, and consulting services to the construction industry. The firm, which has developed strong partnerships with public and private organizations across the United States, is also certified as a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB).

Overseen by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, the SDVOSB program encourages the use of businesses owned by veterans with disabilities. The program, which aligns with Public Law 109-461, is operated by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization within the VA. In addition to advocacy work, the program sets aside public-sector contracts to be awarded to veteran-owned businesses.
