Revitalized Cronin’s Landing Brings LB to Downtown

Elite Building Corp. executive vice president Michael Snedeker identifies potential development projects for the company, making it one of the leading commercial construction firms serving Boston, Waltham, and surrounding cities in Massachusetts. As one of the leaders of the company, Michael Snedeker and his team witnessed the completion of important construction and renovation projects, such as Cronin’s Landing in Waltham.

In the 1980s, downtown Waltham started to see decay. However, Federal Block Grant investments in the downtown area began rejuvenating it.

In 1996, the old Grover Cronin Department Store, a landmark in downtown Waltham, also underwent a major renovation. The project, known as Cronin’s Landing, would later bring life back to downtown Waltham again.

The main building, which includes 281 residential units, brought housing to downtown Waltham. Cronin’s Landing created a neighborhood inside a complex, with inviting hallways and different floor plans.

Cronin’s Landing’s eight street-level businesses, which include a dentist’s office, a restaurant, a gym, and specialty stores, bring families, students, and professionals to the area. The Waltham MBTA commuter rail station is walking distance from Cronin’s Landing.
