Background and Brand Positioning
Based on East Oakland, EOBA(East Oakland Boxing Association) is a community youth development organization that aims to serve youth holistically by empowering them to achieve success at home, at school, and in the community.
EOBA has an after school & summer program that serves over 650 students yearly. EOBA delivers services to the community via quarterly community town halls, monthly food distributions, and semi-weekly extended education programs. EOBA is in the mission to bridge the gap to accessible resources that allow youth, families, and the community an equal opportunity to succeed.
Design Brief
Logo refresh and color palette re-selection to convey a clear representation of serving East Oakland youth holistically. EOBA focuses on three identified areas: youth development, family services, and community engagement. The three areas are represented in the form of a propeller. EOBA would like to integrate the propeller into the logo and retain the bounding shape which was inspired by a boxing ring.
