These 100% eco-friendly & biodegradable medical marijuana tubes are made from 100% recycled materials and are color-coded by strain type: indigo for indica, orange for hybrid and yellow for sativa.
*The slight dark discoloration on the tubes is a little leftover ink from the previous design, which was removed as much as possible with nail polish remover & cotton pads.
The lid features a window for viewing the product with a cannabis leaf decal in the corresponding color. The window is made from plant cellulose and therefore is also 100% eco-friendly and biodegradable.
The bottom of each tube includes a consumer warning in compliance with federal laws for medical cannabis packaging and partnering organization badges.
Each package has a description of the unique characteristics of the strain, the positive and negative side effects, what ailments it is particularly good for treating, and where the bud was sourced.
Also featured is a real QR code that links to www.leafly.com, where all information was sourced and an abundance of further information can be found for that particular strain.
Packaging for edibles is also made from 100% recycled materials, is biodegradable, and matches color codes for strain. Specific dosage is advertised above the edible type, quantity, and weight.
Who said the inside of the package has to be mundane? After taking out your treat, you'll find the company logo and promise along with the short, pronounceable list of all-natural ingredients.
The windows for these boxes are also made from plant cellulose and are therefore 100% eco-friendly and biodegradable. The same consumer warning is featured on the back with the barcode, partnering organization badges and company logo.

The purpose of this research project is to create an aesthetically pleasing, relevant and helpful product package design for medical marijuana products sold in medical dispensaries. This researcher first studied the history, benefits and opportunities of the products in the medical marijuana industry, which is currently regarded as the fastest growing industry in the commercial market (National Geographic, 2011). Research was conducted on commercial marketing, advertising and product packaging for medical marijuana products, as well as other consumables and food items that have been packaged and advertised successfully. After the packaging was designed in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign and printed and assembled in ASU’s Print and Imaging Lab, a focus group was gathered to observe and physically handle the packaging for evaluation of quality and commercial impact.
