A collaboration with Nudge Digital to create a new online resource that educates and raises awareness to the importance of good nutrition in children

Early Years Nutrition Partnership (EYN Partnership) are working to improve the future health of young children, by setting a standard for nutrition practice in early years settings. EYN Partnership wants to combat the increasing health threats that poor nutrition poses in young children. To achieve this, we needed to devise a new online resource that would educate and raise awareness of the importance of understanding the value of good nutrition. We needed to create an experience that would appeal to specific targets such as Nutrition professionals and settings as well as parents.

Working closely with Nudge and the client, I set out to understand their current brand guidelines and assets to find out what boundaries could be pushed to provide more creative freedom whilst ensuring that we didn’t misrepresent the brand. We then went through a phase of UX and UI discovery and provided interactive prototypes. These were then tested – the A/B testing was carried out by Nudge Digital – to ensure the end users benefitted from the platform. Multiple iterations followed which laid out the foundation for the overall experience.

The overall online experience honours the commitment to providing all the tools required to ensuring a happier, healthier future for children. The website is easy to manage and digest and elevates the brand to a new level. We provided a purpose-built platform for parents to easily access a thriving community of nutritional experts that can educate and support willing parents as well as a considered and balanced approach that appeals to other specific target audiences. This platform aids the growth of EYN Partnership and will help them thrive for many years to come.
