Pensions and Lifetime Savings Pension Solution, helps small employers with everything they need to know about setting up a workplace pension. It is a one-stop shop that provides step by step guides for the employers, impartial guides to pension providers and other useful resources. I was asked to create an online presence that would breathe new life into what is generally considered the stale and boring subject of pensions. The challenge was to create an online resource that would help reach as many people as possible and help them achieve a better income in retirement.

Taking some time to reflect on the project stressed the importance of understanding the meaning and thought process behind the decisions that had been made prior to myself joining the project. I then integrated in to the team to provide ongoing design support. This ensured that I could work closely with the UX and Development specialists to define and refine an appropriate solution.

The result is a new online experience that empowers employers. The development of the brand and the use of diagonal lines within the identity i.e. logo top left of the website, formed the basis of creating interesting shapes used in tangent with images and colour throughout the site. Including clear and straight forward step-by-step guides helps entice visitors whilst being informative. The approachable and professional presentation of the design inspires trust and confidence.
