KANAPKA BAR is a cafè with the atmosphere of a boudoir of the beginning of the 20th century. In such places, people with intellectual professions, from Kiev and from another cities and countries, liked to spend time. The interior studio YUDIN Design tried to keep this sensation, giving to the guests the chance to feel something that only houses of the famed Andriyivskyy descent could give.

Andriyivskyy descent is one of the most famous street in Ukraine. This area, that also Michael Bulgakov described, has some "internal code". It means that everything around is something much more than it seems.
The restaurant consists of two parts: the summer terraсe and the main hall. So, it is great for both reasons to meet in such a bar: romantic dates and business meetings.

In KANAPKA BAR you feel that you are in a place with an aristocratic fleur at the entrance: the fence and the forged chairs, the light curtains dividing the tables and their style of the last century. Even the exterior design from Vladimir and Aleksandr Yudin has the charm of those times.
It is believed that at the beginning of the last century the building contained a lucrative office, with the first floor dedicated to the library.
In 1950, thanks to the courage and the calculations of the architect Nikolai Holostenko, the first multi-floors house of Andriyivskyy descent appeared on the site of the old building. Exactly in this house, on the first floor, now there's the cafè KANAPKA BAR , which preserved the aura of the place where the intellectuals of Kiev used to meet.
In the main hall you can find the brick wall, which the Ukrainian interior studio YUDIN Design has kept in its original look. The designers Vladimir and Aleksandr Yudin know what is necessary to save in the old historical places.

Each brick of the wall in the main hall was laid by hand, which is evident from the imperfect seams of the masonry. An interested person can observe the width of this wall, which also indicates the strength of the buildings built in the beginning of the last century in Kiev.
The head designers of YUDIN Design studio reproduced the gypsum decor on the walls according to prerevolutionary sketches and photos; such interior decor was inherent only to the wealthy houses of that time. This and another decisions of Vladimir and Aleksandr Yudin helped to convey the classic interior style of that time.

The central light source in KANAPKA BAR also looks like a rarity. It is a chandelier with 47 symbolic lampshades, made on prerevolutionary motifs.
The main recognizable element of the cafè interior is a 14-meter emerald sofa, designed and custom-made to acquaint and bring together visitors to KANAPKA BAR.
The Ukrainian designers known as Yudin brothers were able to make from this little cafè something really interesting and turned it into a rarity that became mandatory for tourists but also for the local people! Vladimir and Aleksandr Yudin understood well how to attract the right audience to the restaurant - cafè - bar or boutique - this is one of the most important pluses that distinguish all the works of YUDIN Design studio.

The bar boasts a unique library at the end of the room next to the big window, assembled from various private collections. There are also unique Ukrainian publications on various philosophical and mystical themes, together with foreign authors.
Another remarkable item of furniture in KANAPKA BAR is a huge wardrobe made of natural wood. Its weight is over 400 kg and accommodates everything from all the bar  items to a coffee machine.
The large wooden wardrobe dominates the scene with its majesty. Around the hall classic decorations with wall mirrors and lighting entrusted to the grand chandelier decorated with prerevolutionary motives.

The designers of the interior studio YUDIN Design considered also a sliding ladder for the wardrobe to allow members of staff to easily reach the topmost portions.
In addition to various portions dedicated to drinks, glasses and other functional products of the bar, the large wardrobe also contains four small fridges for drinks and products that must be stored at low temperatures.
From above it is a fairly spacious and comfortable environment, in addition to the refined style that recalls the classics.
The interior of KANAPKA BAR is designed to allow visitors to feel the atmosphere of the old mystical Kiev. The atmosphere of the bar is special due to its historical stylistic concept, carrying guests to the beginning of the last century.
The designers Aleksandr and Vladimir Yudin wanted this impression to be in another era to evolve. This is explainable in every object in the interior and in the intellectual decor.
