SIMON 100 APP
Simon is the main manufacturer for small electrical material in Spain, focused on electric circuit’s protection, domotics, lighting, voice and data connections, scoring and electronics.
Their Product Department commissioned us to design Simon 100, an app that manages a set of devices connected to a network through an intelligent plug. The objective was to design a functional app that was related to the aesthetics and physical interactions of Simon’s devices.
They needed a simple and intuitive design that guided the client through the installation and activation of the device network and, later, allowed him to control the mechanisms and generate experiences.
Experiences consist of activation and regulation of use, intensity and timing in a defined sequence of various elements like plugs, lights or blinds. These can be defined at will by the end user.
To make experience possibilities more understandable, we designed some animated illustrations based on Simon’s corporate icons, which we previously designed.
We created a set of icons for the app and adapted some of them to explain the interactivity and regulation of specific devices.
