M1 - I AM ONE

This film is a montage of Singapore's diverse urban landscapes, featuring the intersections and connections that are familiar and frequented by residents. From towering skyscrapers to quaint alleys, seafood restaurants to hawker stalls, parks to public buses, this film takes the audience on a journey in rediscovering Singapore, highlighting the unique diversity that makes us "one".
A tapestry of life in Singapore, this film celebrates the achievements of everyday residents.
The 20 second mark features a male talent running in military uniform. Conscription, known as "national service", is mandatory for all Singaporean males, and is considered by many to be a significant milestone. The film also features some of Singapore's signature dishes including the chili crab, chicken rice, and "mee pok" noodles sold at hawker stalls.

From director Marten:
My primary aim with this spot was to highlight the colorful diversity of Singapore's residents, an ode to the melting pot of food, cultures, and history that make up one of the world’s most unique cities. The film itself is a one minute dance through the streets, homes, and workplaces of Singapore, beautifully narrated with a poetic, spoken word script. The quick pace of the film, with splashes of color and action, unfolds through smooth, rapid transitions, drawing you closer, and asking you the ultimate question: “who am I”, “I’m one”
