negative/positive logos

In this project, the concept was to take forced connections and create a logo. The same word could not be used twice. The first word had to be an adjective and the second a noun.

Originally, I took each word separately and created a mind map. This way I could see what could relate to each word. For example: on twisted tunes some people think of music notes. However, I thought of what makes a tune. So wind chimes and piano popped in my head. So I added them together. Something that I changed about all of my work was how I created it. Initially, everything was drawn with a pen. This made everything rigid and not have any character. Then, I went back in and created all of them with a paintbrush. This gave my work more of a flow.

One that really worried me was the tasty films. At first, it just looked like a piece of pizza. In order to change that, I separated the crust from the pizza so that it would look like the pause/play button.

I learned I need to quit being so precise. Not everything has t be even and have fine edges.
