The goal of this Project was to create a children's book using our favorite song. So I chose Cry wolf by Bebe Rhexa.

Initially I wanted to do the song Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez. The more I thought about it though I did not know what kid story I could make to fit the lyrics. So I thought I could use Cry Wolf to approach bullying. When I think of kids, I see them setting in the floor with their coloring books and scribbling away with their crayons. Sometimes going out of the lines on the page.

In order to create this book, I drew a lot of sketches. The ending changed once. I used a colored pencil to pick up the texture of a table so it actually  looked like crayon. I did this because when I think of children and books, I see a kid with a coloring book and a crayon. Possibly scribbling outside of the lines. Then I scanned them into Photoshop and increased the vibrancy. I also cut off any unwanted material. After that, I sized it in Illustrator and copy and pasted into InDesign. I then added the text in InDesign as well.     

I have learned how to use Illustrator more than I have in any other class. I learned that it is better to do text in InDesign because you can go back and change the font type and size. You can't in Illustrator. Instead of copy and pasting from Illustrator to InDesign you can go to file and place. Then you can use the free transform tool to resize it how you want without messing up the image.
