PRIMAVERA SOUND APP
Primavera Sound is one of the biggest music festivals in the world. It takes place in Barcelona once a year and is visited by more than 50.000 assistants per day.
They commissioned us to design a multipurpose app for Primavera Sound ’17, that would also become the template for future editions of the festival. The objective was to make the app as neutral as possible, making each edition’s visual identity shine above the rest with the least code customization possible.
Being an app that changes its information priorities during the year, modularity became a must during the design process.
Due to the huge amount of information, we focused on user experience above all. We though an easy and simple navigation system, taking advantage of both vertical and horizontal swiping.
We designed an icon family adapted to their needs. Each icon was drawn to work at a specific size, matching typography’s thickness.
