Continuing production testing Sebastian Zapata's Friendly Shade texture library (www.friendlyshade.com) at work (www.recomfarmhouse.com). I produced two lighting variations of the same scene. The first being an HDRI lit rig shot and the second, a static shot using artificial lights.
The quality of these texture maps is beyond anything I have used sourced from stock, this road in particular is outstanding in it's detail.
Creatively I stumbled across the dark shot when flicking through the light passes and felt it's unusual nature made for a suspenseful image so I dedicated some time to produce both variations. It also meant I could test the maps under different conditions.
On a technical note, LED tunnel lights make for difficult anti aliasing. The separate light sources make fine edges seem noisy even when using high sampling. I personally like the irregularity created but if this were for a client I have no doubt they would need cleaning up.
Here is the wireframe and occlusion of the displacement.
I look forward to using these texture maps in the future. Follow Friendly Shade on facebook for frequent updates on what Sebastian is producing.

UPDATE:
After a few requests and an example from Guido Medici I've gone ahead a composited the two versions into a single image. Now it's a little less original but more of a crowd pleaser, I hope you like it.
P.S. I would need to render the tunnel shot with motion blur to make the reflections match.
UPDATE 2.0:
Testing new headlight process.
