Artist/writer David Mulder tallied his daily whereabouts and activity for a full year (as a project of complete exhibitionism). I chose his data of sleep and reduced it to just the amount of sleep in minutes. As I found out he never slept more than up to 12hours. This 12 hours I visualized as an hourglass: the Z. Build up in fragments of minutes. A yellow grain of sand being one minute. One Z being one day(night). An irregular pattern of sometimes almost filled Z’s and more often halfway up-filled Z’s exists.
