"Olympic Air" is a new air carrier which followed greek "Olympic Airways - OA" in 2009. I designed this logo for my own purpose. It is actually a re-design of the former logo.

I used dark blue strongly believing that the new carrier should be based on the Olympic Airways history and values. Light blue stands for Greece and was the colour of the sixth circle Aristotle Onassis added to the Olympic Games emblem to create the former OA logo. The gradation represents the carrier's rejuvenation, starting from the old days (circles) and moving through history (dark blue colour) to the new profile; brighter, more contemporary and friendlier to the passenger. The whole logo is tilted to represent evolution to passenger service, up-to-date technology and travelling experience. Type is exclusively and carefully designed based on the circle forms, boosting the logo unity.
