Modernizing Print and Digital Marketing Materials

Local music retailer Kennelly Keys Music has maintained a strong hold on the local music education market since 1960 in music rentals, sales, private lessons, and repair services. This is a family-owned company with deep roots in the community and has been providing goods and services to Pacific Northwest musicians, educators, and students since it's founding in 1960. 

Kennelly Keys Music focuses a lot on providing the highest quality in-store experience for their customers; a lot of work goes into stocking the highest quality instruments and accessories, as well as keeping the stores up-to-date with services like private music lessons, instrument rentals, and instrument repairs. These print flyers are to act as an informative brochure for customers showcasing these services and products offered by Kennelly Keys Music. Until now the design and creative direction hasn't had a standardized style guide, but these print products will act as a future template for both print and digital marketing projects for Kennelly Keys Music.
Main Service Flyers
The main services that Kennelly Keys Music offers are instrument repair services, private lessons, and student instrument rentals. All of these services are the highest quality backed by amazing support from the local community, but aside from a flyer advertising rental rates, none of these other handouts existed for customers to learn more.
Instrument Introduction Flyers
The predominant service offered by Kennelly Keys Music is their Performance Series Rental Program, which offers high quality, affordable student instrument rentals for beginning students in band or orchestra.

These introductory flyers serve as an informational and educational introduction to the specific instrument that was rented; including care and maintenance instructions, history of the instrument, applications of the instrument, and a descriptive diagram of the major components.

While the Main Service Flyers each use the same color overlay (which corresponds with the branding style of Kennelly Keys Music), these flyers are distinguished by different colors. These colors also act as differentiation on the website for product categories, creating a cohesive branding style.
Business Cards & Name Badges
Refreshed business cards and name badges for all employees. Employees at Kennelly Keys Music make intimate connections every day with customers, students, and educators in the local community. These business cards and name badges represent them as members of the local music scene as and as representatives of Kennelly Keys Music.
The approach that I took with these print materials was to create something modern and clean to present the information in an unobtrusive fashion. I also approached this project from the perspective of creating something that seemed more tangible and had more depth than just a normal flyer. Kennelly Keys Music relies on physical store locations and creating connections with local communities; I tried to emulate this aesthetic in these designs to provide more of a connection between the physical importance of the brick and mortar stores and the products and services they provide.

The style guide that I created for this series of print marketing materials, is also in the process of crossing over to refresh the digital branding and web presence of Kennelly Keys Music. Stay tuned!
