WeatherGrids is not just another mobile application for weather forecasting. WeatherGrids is all about enabling users to find the right place with the right weather conditions at a glance, on their iPhone.

The client's goal was to create, more or less, a mobile weather application for the App store, for people who love sports. From surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers, to cyclists, runners and joggers. An App based on a data grid that provides information for multiple places, giving users the ability to set their own requirements such as temperature, cloud coverage, rainfall, wind and wind direction. The decision was to design a user-friendly interface, making navigation as simple as possible. A set of 68 "weather conditions" icons were designed and color coded for each weather element. The user’s “selected requirements” were depicted in vivid green color, in order to be clearly defined, visually, for intuitive user navigation.
